The world of handmade cigars as we know it is almost two hundred years old. It is one of the few luxury products that does not improve with technology. At its essence, a cigar experience is a romantic ritual from days gone by where the cutting, lighting and enjoyment of a cigar is a refined pleasure, but not an exclusive one. Occasional indulgers and regular enthusiasts alike can enjoy our premium cigars.
Our premium quality cigars are made following an exacting process that ensures each handmade cigar is held to the highest standards.
Dry Aged & Date Stamped
Our dry aging room is built of Nicaraguan cedar, called cedro macho. The space is equipped with an advanced system that deals with unwanted humidity and keeps the leaves pliable. Using only pure water, our system mists a fine vapor at regular intervals, and the energy-efficient air conditioning unit keeps the room at 21-22 degrees C and 63-62 % humidity — exactly where it needs to be for optimal dry aging.
Dry aging lasts for at least 6 months. After this is complete, our cigars are moved from the aging room to the packaging room. Here, our dry aged cigars are kept at a temperature of 25 degrees C while they are sorted and labelled with a date stamp so you know exactly when your Mombacho cigar was made.
